The Mortgage Loan Processor, under direct supervision of the Director of Lending, will be responsible for providing Houwzer clients and Realtors exceptional service in processing a loan from inception to close. The Loan Processor will handle a variety of tasks and loan types, ensure loan documentation is complete, and meet performance requirements set by the Director of Lending.




  • Assist Houwzer Realtors and clients with questions, issues, or concerns regarding all relevant aspects of the settlement
  • Analyze and calculate debt-to-income ratio
  • Review credit reports and title searches
  • Order home insurance policies
  • Act as liaison to appraisal companies, credit reporting agencies, and title companies
  • Process a minimum of 20 loans at a time
  • Review loan files to determine what documentation is required for underwriting
  • Work with clients to ensure documentation is collected in a timely manner
  • Other duties may be assigned



  • Volunteer 50 hours per year
  • Update timesheet weekly for accurate time keeping reporting
  • Carry out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with all company and site policies and procedures
  • Remain current in profession and industry trends
  • Make a positive contribution by offering new suggestions for company or process improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes



  • High School diploma and at least two years experience as a mortgage processor
  • NMLS license (preferred)
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with CRM software and loan processing applications such as Encompass and CLYX
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills that align with our mission and values
  • Strong project management skills and a strong attention to detail
  • The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs
  • Advanced expertise in using the Google Suite of applications
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a startup environment and adapt to change
